Nirvana has paid tribute to producer Steve Albini, who passed away on Wednesday.
Albini, of course, was responsible for producing Nirvana’s “In Utero,” as well as albums from Pixies, Bush, PJ Harvey, and Breeders.
In a simple social media post, Nirvana shared the caption “Steve Albini” and a four-page letter he sent the band before recording “In Utero.”
In the letter, the producer details everything from payment to philosophies of recording what would be Nirvana’s final album.
