The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has a reputation for being anti-heavy metal – but Hall of Fame President and CEO Greg Harris says it’s not true at all.

In an interview, Harris said he was “thrilled” to see Iron Maiden on the ballot and hopes they get inducted following last year’s induction of Judas Priest.

Currently, the only metal bands in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame are Priest, Metallica, and Black Sabbath – while acts like Iron Maiden, Pantera, Megadeth, Slayer, and Dio remain on the outside looking in.

Voting is now underway and the official Class of 2023 will be revealed in May. Fans can cast their ballots online at vote.rockhall.com.
