Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour is set to release his first solo album in nearly a decade this fall.
Luck and Strange was written along with Gilmour’s wife Polly Samson, who says it deals with themes of aging and mortality – including through the lens of the COVID-19 lockdown.
Late Pink Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright will appear on the title track, using some parts from a 2007 jam session.
The first single, “The Piper’s Call”, will be released Thursday. Luck and Strange will be out Sept. 6th.
