Disney+ has finally given all of us Star Wars nerds what we have been waiting for for a long time. No, not more Boba Fett, our very first look into the new show that is set to drop on the streaming platform May 25th, “Obi-Wan Kenobi”. They are keeping so much about this show under wraps that the plot has yet to be released, but they decided to hold the carrot out in front of us with this banger of a teaser!
In the trailer, we get to see Post Order 66 Obi-Wan as he is living on Tatooine watching over the very young-looking Luke Skywalker. The big thing I took away from this trailer is that we will be getting live-action Inquisitors, or Jedi Hunters, as seen in the Disney Channel show “Star Wars: Rebels” who are under the direction of Darth Vader. It has already been confirmed that Hayden Christensen will be reprising his role as Darth Vader but we did not get to see anything from him, yet.
All I can say is this trailer had me once the opening bars from the “Duel of Fates” started, and also even though people ragged on the prequels when they came out, Disney+ is making up for them with their new Star Wars content.
Obi-Wan Kenobi releases on May 25th on Disney+.
