Musician and actor Kid Rock wants to add a new vocation to his resume: politician.
He has now launched a website, “Kid Rock for Senate,” and teased his candidacy for Michigan State Senate on different social media posts.
Kid Rock, an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump, is reportedly set to compete for the Michigan Republican nomination for Senator in the next election. He also told fans to “stay tuned” for additional announcements on a campaign.
In an interview with the Detroit Free Press, Livingston County Tea Party activist Wes Nakagiri spoke about the possibility of Kid Rock’s nomination.
(Kid Rock) has name I.D., is an out-of-the-box idea, and would kind of get rid of that stodgy Republican image. I’ll bet you he would generate as much excitement as Trump did.
