Metallica’s Lars Ulrich and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith have signed on to make cameos in the upcoming sequel to This Is Spinal Tap.
That’s the word from director Rob Reiner, who says the pair of drummers will join previously announced guest stars Paul McCartney, Elton John, Garth Brooks, Questlove and Trisha Yearwood.
Cameras began rolling on Spinal Tap II March 6th in New Orleans. It’s scheduled to wrap on April 12th, according to the New Orleans Film Office.
