Former 49ers defensive back and current media member Donte Whitner made waves on Sunday night when he dropped the following bar regarding Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott:

Whitner expanded on those comments Monday with Papa & Lund and went on to explain why he thinks the 49ers won’t lose a single game this season.

The logic in that prediction is the fact that he believes 49ers are just better than any team they’ll face.

“No, I don’t believe they’ll lose a single game all year,” Whitner said. “When I look at the opposition and I look at the field, there’s nobody that’s even playing up to the level and the standard that the 49ers are playing right now.”

He also pointed to San Francisco’s health, and thinks being in pole position will benefit that.

“And if we look at the injuries, knock on wood, if we look at the injuries, the 49ers are probably the healthiest team in the NFL right now,” Whitner said. “They play a physical style of football. And as all these other teams continue to beat up on each other and try to catch up to the 49ers, they’re just going to continue to get stronger.”

Whitner thinks that this game provided the momentum that will propel them for the rest of the season and allow them to beat the record set by the 1972 Miami Dolphins.
