It comes as no shock that this year is going to be crazy with new Marvel releases at both the big and at-home screens. So far we have had the release of Moon Knight, which has reached the halfway point of it six-episode debut season, and soon within a couple of weeks, we will see the incredible film, which is rumored with more cameos than “Avengers: Endgame”, that will have our first tie in with a Disney+ series, “Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. One other big title we have been waiting to see or even get a glimpse of is the fourth film in the Thor series, “Thor: Love and Thunder” (The only Marvel superhero to have four titles to its name!).

This film will have us see the return of Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Starlord (Chris Pratt), and the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy (John Bautiste, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Pom Klementieff). What’s also crazy is that we will be seeing the return of Natalie Portman as her character, Jane Foster, who will gain the ability to wield Thor’s famous hammer Mjiolnir.

What’s incredible about this teaser trailer is that it gives enough information and confirms what we already know about the characters without giving too much away which will most likely be saved for a later trailer. Taika Waititi returns as director and you can already tell it’s going to be incredible especially with his music choice in the trailer again, which was Guns N’ Roses’s “Sweet Child O Mine”.

Here is the current plot summary of the upcoming Marvel blockbuster:

“Thor’s retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher, who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher’s vengeance and stop him before it’s too late.”

“Thor: Love and Thunder” is set to release July 8th, 2022
