State Line Empire Drummer Joins Soundwaves TV on Remembering Taylor Hawkins

Chasta, Dennis Willis and Steven Kirk react to the sudden passing of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. State Line Empire drummer Jay Michaelis recalls meeting Taylor Hawkins and discusses the impact of his enduring legacy.

The band was preparing to perform in Bogota, Colombia on Friday night for Lollapalooza Brazil when Hawkins passed suddenly at age 50. Bogota Health officials responded to a call about a patient with chest pains in a hotel who was unresponsive when they tried to give aid.

Below is the final set with Taylor from Sunday’s headline show at Lollapalooza Argentina March 20th, Grohl introduces him saying, “you know, the best thing about Taylor Hawkins – he’s the best drummer in the world, we love him so fuckin’ much.”
