While the pandemic has pushed back Mötley Crüe‘s reunion tour into 2022, it didn’t stop frontman Vince Neil from getting on stage to perform some solo material and some Crüe classics. Unfortunately for Neil and the fans the year and a half hiatus left the singers’ vocal cords out of practice leading to an embarrassing finish to the concert.

Only a few lines into the verse of Mötley Crüe’s “Girls, Girls, Girls,” Neil had to stop his performance and apologize to the crowd feeling that he had lost his singing voice.

“Hey, guys… I’m sorry, you guys. It’s been a long time playin’. My fuckin’ voice is gone,” Neil told the crowd. “We love you, and we’ll hopefully see you next time, man. Take care.”

The incident happened at the Boone Iowa River Valley Festival in Boone, Iowa last Saturday and was the singer’s first performance since the Coronavirus pandemic halted all live shows.
