Nirvana + Foo Fighters: The Epic Mash-Up We Don’t Know We Needed

We all know that Nirvana and Foo Fighters are “family” bands, meaning they share some of the same members. But how much music and sound do they share? Do they sound like the same band? Are the songs written in the same style? Are the styles distinctively different, or are they similar? What would a Nirvana song sound like, if performed by the Foo Fighters? Alternatively, what would a Foo Fighters song sound like, if performed by Nirvana? We’ve always wondered, and with this Nirvana + Foo Fighters mashup, we can definitely answer some of those questions, at least partially.

Check out the mashup of “In Bloom” by Nirvana and “Learn to Fly” by Foo Fighters above called “Learn To Bloom”. Some words that come to mind to describe the mashup are “haunting,” “familiar,” and “complex” at times, but overall we think it works. We like the groove.
