Dark Orange Skies Blanket the Bay Area: Is It Safe to Go Outside?

As wildfires continue to range along the entire West Coast, the Bay Area woke up to an eerie dark orange sky. Is it safe to go outside though? Accordingly, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, air quality levels remain at a moderate level. Jarrett Claiborne, air quality meteorologist for the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) stated ““The good thing about it is most of the (smoke) is staying aloft..The sun is able to scatter those smoke particles that produce this apocalyptic orange color that we’re seeing.” More details here.
