Watch the Audioslave Reunion at the Anti-Inaugural Ball

Supergroup Audioslave, made up of Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell and Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk of Rage Against the Machine, came together for the first time in almost 12 years at the Anti-Inaugural Ball in Los Angeles Friday. This reunion follows Cornell’s resurrected Temple of the Dog tour.

The recently reunited band played three tracks from their 2002 self-titled debut LP, “Like a Stone” at the Teragram Ballroom: “Like a Stone,” “Cochise,” and “Show Me How to Live.”

The band’s timeline is rocky. Forming in 2001, they performed together until 2005. Just months after the release of their third LP “Revelations” in 2007, the band broke up.

Other headliners from the Anti-Inaugural Ball included Prophets of Rage (made up of Morello, Wilk, and Commerford), Vic Mensa, Jackson Browne, and Jack Black. Morello released a statement about the concert:

The Anti-Inaugural Ball is a celebration of resistance. Resistance to racism. Resistance to sexism. Resistance to homophobia. Resistance to bullying. Resistance to environmental devastation. Resistance to fascism. Resistance to Donald Trump. We are staring down the barrel of a dystopian nightmare unless we act now, unless we fight back now.

Unfortunately, Audioslave has no announced upcoming plans.
