February 4: Giants FanFest

The official kick-off to the San Francisco Giants baseball season is just around the corner! Grab your friends and family and join us at Oracle Park in San Francisco on Saturday, February 4th, 2023, for KNBR & Giants FanFest! Presented by Scottsdale, Arizona: Your Home Base for Giants Spring Training.

At this free event, fans can experience an array of activities: listen to live interviews, participate in Q&A sessions, seek autographs, access the field, play games at the Bullpen Boardwalk, get a selfie with a Giants VIP, tour the Giants Clubhouse, buy game tickets without paying fees, shop at the Giants Dugout Store and enjoy the variety of ballpark food offerings.

Plus, don’t miss all-day live coverage with your favorite San Francisco Giants players and coaches, joining Murph & Mac, Papa & Lund, Tolbert & Copes, and all the KNBR hosts!

EVENT TIPS


Hours

KNBR & Giants FanFest, presented by Scottsdale, Arizona, begins at 10 a.m. and concludes at 3 p.m. Gates will open at 10 a.m.

Entrances

Fans can enter KNBR & Giants FanFest using one of three Oracle Park entrances: Willie Mays Gate, Lefty O’Doul Gate and Second and King Street Gate. The Marina Gate will be exclusive for Season Ticket Members. Ballpark access will not be available from the Giants Dugout Store or Public House. 

Orange Carpet Ceremony

Fans are encouraged to arrive at Willie Mays Plaza by 9:15 a.m. to welcome the 2023 Giants during a special “Orange Carpet” ceremony. 

Bag Policy

Backpacks are not permitted (including clear backpacks). Other bags, smaller than 16″x16″x8″ are allowed.

KNBR Broadcast Stage

During the entire event, KNBR talent will broadcast live from the KNBR Stage in front of home plate, interviewing Giants players, coaches and executives. Fans are encouraged to sit in the stands to watch and listen to their favorite players and KNBR personalities.

Dignity Health Q&A Theater

Located on the 3rd base side of the Alaska Airlines Club Level, KNBR talent will be conducting live interviews with players, coaches and medical staff. Fans will have the opportunity to ask questions of the players and featured VIPs.  Theater capacity will be closely monitored and enforced. 

Kids Press Conference presented by Pacific Catch

Located on the 1st base side of the Alaska Airlines Club Level, the Kids Press Conference presented by Pacific Catch allows preselected kids the opportunity to ask questions of the players and featured VIPs.  Theater capacity will be closely monitored and enforced.

Autographs

Fans can seek autographs from players and coaches on the View Level at Sections 316 and 334.  Please be advised that lines could be long.  Giants VIPs will rotate between stations approximately every 50 minutes. Limit one autograph per person, per VIP, posed photos are not allowed and waiting for the next group of VIPs is not permitted.  The Giants aim to keep fans waiting in line informed of the wait times throughout the day, but it is possible that not all fans in line will receive an autograph.

If a guest is unable to stand in line due to mobility, they can visit the autograph station exit to receive an access pass for a designated return time (mirroring the main line wait time). The access pass allows the guest to return to that autograph station’s exit to be integrated into the line.  The access pass will be valid for the pass holder and up to 3 guests only.

Selfie Station presented by United States Army

Located on the View Level at Section 304, fans will have the chance to take a selfie with players, coaches, broadcasters and other Giants VIPs. Please be advised that lines could be long.  VIPs will rotate between stations approximately every 50 minutes. Limit one selfie per person, per VIP and waiting for the next group of VIPs is not permitted. The Giants aim to keep fans waiting in line informed of the wait times throughout the day, but it is possible that not all fans in line will receive a selfie.

Be Like a Giant

FanFest offers exclusive access to the field and other locations around the park that fans don’t typically get to experience. Fans can take photos with family and friends from inside the Giants Dugout or take a tour of the Giants Clubhouse. 

Oracle Park Hidden Gems

  • Tour the Giants Press Box and see the field from the media’s perspective.  
  • Visit The Garden, located behind the centerfield wall, to see fruits and vegetables growing in a unique setting. 
  • Come down to the Bullpen Boardwalk to play skee-ball, pop-a-shot and other games. 
  • Catch a glimpse of the three World Series Championship Trophies and Rings on the Promenade Level, located directly behind home plate.

The Other Boys of Summer Film Screening

The Giants will host a special screening of The Other Boys of Summer, a documentary exploring racism, segregation and civil rights through the lives of the Negro League Baseball Players. The 42-minute film screening will take place on the Oracle Suite Level in the Executive Meeting Room at 11 a.m. followed by an exclusive Q&A session with the film’s director Lauren Meyer and Giants Chief DEI Officer Roscoe Mapps, hosted by Giants PA Announcer Dr. Renel Brooks-Moon. Space will be limited and seats will be filled on a first come, first served basis. 

Food and Beverage

Food and drink (including alcohol) will be available at concession stands throughout the ballpark.

Ticket Sales

2023 Giants tickets can be purchased at the Box Office on King Street adjacent to Willie Mays Plaza beginning at 8 a.m. Tickets will also be sold inside the park, once gates open. Tickets purchased at FanFest will be sold without fees.

TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS


Public Transportation

Fans are encouraged to take public transportation to Oracle Park. Please use trip-planning apps or visit individual operators’ websites for weekend schedules.

  • Caltrain: The San Francisco station is located one block from the ballpark. Caltrain will operate one extra train before and after FanFest. See schedule here.
  • Muni Metro: Muni provides train and bus service to and from Oracle Park and connects to BART at Embarcadero Station. The N Judah stops at 2nd & King, adjacent to Oracle Park.
  • BART: Take BART to the Embarcadero station and connect to the N Judah or walk a short distance to the ballpark. See schedule here.
  • AC Transit: AC Transit’s Transbay lines provide service between the Salesforce Transit Center and the inner East Bay. See schedule here.

Driving/Parking

If taking public transit is not an option for you, we recommend reserving parking in advance with SpotHero. Parking reservations are required in Lot A/Pier 48. Oracle Park’s free Accessibility Shuttle will operate between Lot A/Pier 48 parking and the O’Doul Gate from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Biking

Secure and free bike parking will be available at the Bike Valet on the Portwalk near the Dignity Health Center from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Learn more.

Ridehail

Passenger loading and taxi zones around Oracle Park make it easy to hail a ride to or from the ballpark. After FanFest, you will need to walk to one of the passenger loading zones shown on the map here.

Rain Plan
