Foo Fighters are taking their live performances to new heights with their massive 2026 stadium tour production. Dubbed the Take Cover stage, the ambitious setup measures an impressive 197 feet wide and 65 feet high, making it the largest stage in the band’s history. Designed to deliver a visually stunning concert experience, the production combines custom lighting, innovative engineering, and an expansive stage layout.
Production manager Eric “Ski” Piontkowski teamed up with Wonder Works to bring the elaborate design to life. The centerpiece features nine custom curved aluminum lighting ribs built by Atlanta Rigging Services, creating a sweeping arc behind the band. Additional lighting pods suspended above the stage and throughout the audience help extend the visual experience across the stadium.
To accommodate different venues along the tour, Wonder Works developed a flexible engineering system that maintains the production’s visual consistency. WowAxis also provided custom wind bracing for the video screens, lighting structures, and sound equipment, helping ensure stability during outdoor performances. The result is the Foo Fighters’ most ambitious stage production yet, bringing an entirely new level of spectacle to their stadium shows.
