Last summer, Ozzy Osbourne played his final concert in Birmingham, England with a stacked lineup that included Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, Mastodon, and supergroups arranged by Tom Morello.
The 10-hour event, Back to the Beginning, ended with Osbourne singing his hits and reuniting with Black Sabbath’s founding members, making for an emotional farewell before his death.
Proceeds from ticket sales to the concert and stream went to charity, and now a concert film, Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning, featuring all artists, will premiere in Los Angeles and open in theaters worldwide.
Sharon Osbourne, grieving the loss of her husband, has watched the concert film but not the documentaries they participated in before his death, stating, “I’m just not ready mentally.”
Ozzy saw the concert as a great achievement, with Sharon noting, “It was groundbreaking for what it was. Like everything with Ozzy, he’s the first.”
