New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert has passed away at the age of 45 after battling cancer for several years.
The band and his wife Lisa Cimorelli confirmed his death in a joint Instagram post, stating that he passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by loved ones.
Chad Gilbert was a legendary musician known for his guitar playing, songwriting, humor, and drive that shaped New Found Glory for nearly three decades.

Chad’s influence will always be a part of New Found Glory, and his spirit will be felt on every stage they perform on.
Gilbert was first diagnosed with cancer in 2021, underwent surgery to remove a rare tumor, and had the cancer return and spread to his spine and lungs in subsequent years.
