Tony Iommi revealed that producer Andrew Watt approached him about a follow-up to 2013’s 13 with all original Black Sabbath members, but Iommi rejected the idea due to Watt’s lack of experience working with the original band.
The idea of a new album with the original lineup didn’t appeal to Iommi because they had already done “13,” and he didn’t want to repeat the process.
Black Sabbath released an EP called “The End” in 2016, but there have been no new albums since “13.”
Bill Ward reunited with his former bandmates at their farewell show in 2025, but with Ozzy’s passing shortly after, it’s unlikely there will be a new Black Sabbath record.
