Dave Mustaine suggested Testament, Overkill, Exodus, and possibly Trivium as a new “Big Four” of thrash metal.
Mustaine praised those bands for their contributions to the metal scene and their musical abilities.
The original “Big Four” of thrash metal, consisting of Metallica, Mustaine’s band Megadeth, Slayer, and Anthrax, played together in historic concerts in 2010 and 2011.
