Weezer are back with their latest studio release, The Gold Album, adding another chapter to the band’s extensive catalog.
Produced by Kenny Beats, the album was recorded using a live-off-the-floor approach designed to capture the energy and raw sound of Weezer performing together as a band.
The record features new singles “Shine” and “Say Yes,” along with “Go Away,” a duet featuring Bethany Cosentino. The album also puts the spotlight on Rivers Cuomo’s songwriting as Weezer continue to evolve across what is now a 20-album career.
Fans will get a chance to hear the new material on the road as Weezer continue touring this fall.
The band heads to Vancouver’s Rogers Arena on Sept. 12, with The Shins and Silversun Pickups joining the bill.
With a stripped-down recording approach and a new batch of songs, The Gold Album finds Weezer leaning into the chemistry that has powered the band for more than three decades.
