Dave Mustaine has announced a three-city book tour in support of his latest memoir, “In My Darkest Hour,” which details his battle with cancer and the making of Megadeth’s sixteenth studio album.
The book tour will kick off on September 8 in New York City and continue in Massachusetts and Virginia, coinciding with the band’s “Run For Your Lives” world tour.
“In My Darkest Hour” explores Mustaine’s journey through cancer treatment, his creative process during that time, and the impact on his personal life and faith.
Mustaine’s battle with cancer and the making of the album were challenging, but he found motivation in his bandmates, the music, and the support of his family.
The memoir aims to inspire hope and share Mustaine’s story of resilience, with a focus on the universal human experience of facing serious illness and its transformative effects.
