Queens of the Stone Age shared a new song, “Insignificant Other,” along with more details about their upcoming ninth studio album Perfecth.
Frontman Josh Homme describes “Insignificant Other” as a song about distance and the strange vertigo of someone vanishing from your world.
Perfecth was produced by Homme and band member Michael Shuman and will be available in various formats, including a limited deluxe edition with handwritten lyrics and bespoke art.
The album’s nine songs reflect different forms of love, with the band taking significant evolutionary steps and arriving at hard-won clarity.
Homme explains that the title, Perfecth, is a more appropriate spelling for a term that never felt right, emphasizing that nothing in this world is perfect.
