Gibbons expressed his sorrow over Beard’s passing and emphasized that ZZ Top will honor his wish to keep the band going.
The band’s unique facial hair style, with Beard being the only member without a beard, was a long-standing topic of discussion.
Gibbons humorously reflected on the band’s decision to grow beards in 1979 after a hiatus, highlighting Beard’s lack of facial hair and how it set him apart.
He said, “Frank didn’t mind being beardless. After all, he had the name.”
