Joan Jett & The Blackhearts are releasing a remastered 45th-anniversary edition of their breakthrough album “I Love Rock ’N Roll” on August 28, available on CD and 180-gram opaque sky-blue vinyl.
“I Love Rock ’N Roll” was originally released in 1981 and became a commercial and cultural milestone, with its iconic title track spending seven consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100.
The album sold over 10 million copies worldwide and featured hits like “Crimson and Clover,” “(I’m Gonna) Run Away,” “Love Is Pain,” and “Victim of Circumstance,” with the anniversary edition retaining the original track listing.
The reissue follows the 45th-anniversary edition of Jett’s album “Bad Reputation” and coincides with her ongoing tour, showcasing a career spanning over four decades.
