Matt Cameron gave an update on the upcoming final Soundgarden album, featuring previously unreleased recordings with Chris Cornell before his death in 2017.
Appearing on the ‘Let There Be Talk’ podcast, Cameron said the album was ready for the mixing process, but no release date has been set.
The new album will contain eight songs with Cornell’s vocals, and possibly some instrumentals may be worked on by guitarist Kim Thayil.
Cameron left Pearl Jam in July 2025 to concentrate on the Soundgarden project and pursue other creative endeavors.
