Martin Garrix has collaborated with U2 to release the track ‘Fireflies’ via Darkroom Records, marking the first time all four members of U2 have appeared on a track with Garrix.
The collaboration between Martin Garrix and U2 is built around Bono’s vocals, U2’s classic rock foundation, and Garrix’s signature production, creating a powerful arena-scale hybrid.
Martin Garrix and U2 have a longstanding friendship and creative partnership, having previously worked together on tracks like ‘Scars’ and ‘We Are The People’.
Martin Garrix described ‘Fireflies’ as a unique song they started working on six summers ago and expressed his honor in working with U2 again, while The Edge enjoyed playing the track at Tomorrowland and the rush of performing outdoors.
‘Fireflies’ is part of a series of collaborations for Martin Garrix, including tracks with Madonna and Ed Sheeran, and comes after the successful completion of his Martin Garrix Americas Tour.
