Marshall unveils the 1959BJA Artist Signature, a 100-watt amp developed with Billie Joe Armstrong, inspired by Green Day’s “Dookie” era.
The 1959BJA features a custom “Dookie Mod” that adds gain, tighter low frequencies, and a more saturated punch while retaining a classic plexi-style amplifier foundation.
The amp’s appearance pays homage to Armstrong’s iconic blue Stratocaster-style guitar, featuring baby-blue covering, brass and silver panel details, custom branding, and Armstrong’s signature.
Billie Joe Armstrong expresses his excitement about the signature Marshall amp, stating, “I’m so overjoyed to have my own signature Marshall amp. Turn it the f— up!!”
The U.K.-made 1959BJA amplifier includes presence, three-band EQ, master volume, and gain controls, using three ECC83 preamp valves and four EL34 power amp valves.a
