Rush will release ultra-high fidelity reissues of 11 classic albums from their ’70s and ’80s era, starting this summer.
Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab is partnering with Rush for a multi-year series of releases, marking the first time the band’s complete Mercury run of studio albums will be issued as dedicated standalone audiophile editions.
The campaign will start with reissues of “Fly by Night” and “A Farewell to Kings,” with the band’s self-titled 1974 debut also set for release this fall.
MoFi mastering engineer Rob LoVerde described their approach as a “forensic expedition” to ensure the best quality for the releases.
Longtime Rush associate Andy Curran delivered the original master tapes for the initial releases to Mobile Fidelity’s mastering studio, ensuring a meticulous transfer process.
