Green Day has released the new track “I’m Never Gonna R.I.P.”, featured on the upcoming soundtrack for NIMRODS, a comedy inspired by the band’s early touring days.
The full soundtrack drops July 31 and also includes music from Analog Dogs, Mckenna Grace, The Paradox, and Ultra Q. Produced by Green Day, NIMRODS follows a young band’s cross-country road trip after a prank convinces them they’re opening for Green Day on New Year’s Eve.
The film stars Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman, Ryan Foust, and Mckenna Grace, with appearances from Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool. Special global screenings begin August 11, with the film opening in U.S. theaters on August 14.
