Primus has released a new four-song EP titled “A Handful Of Nuggs,” which includes the new track “The Ol’ Grizz” from their upcoming tenth studio album.
Les Claypool, the vocalist and bassist of Primus, revealed that the title of the EP is inspired by his love of prospecting for gold.
The EP features a cover of Dio’s “Holy Diver” with Puddles Pity Party and a collaborative track with Maynard James Keenan called “Little Lord Fentanyl.”
The EP also includes a live recording of “Duchess And The Proverbial Mind Spread” from a show in Philadelphia, previously released as part of a 7″ during Primus’ 2025 tour.
Primus’ upcoming tenth album will be the first with drummer John “Hoffer” Hoffman, who replaced Tim “Herb” Alexander in 2025.
Claypool mentioned that he has not spoken to Alexander since his departure.
