Tesla’s live performances have evolved over the years, with the band shortening their sets to preserve singer Jeff Keith’s voice. Brian Wheat said “We used to play two-and-a-half-hour shows… And now we do 100 minutes.”
Tesla’s reluctance to release full-length albums of new material is due to the band’s need to tour to earn a living. Brian Wheat explained, “Tesla’s not wealthy guys… When we play, that’s how we earn our living.”
The band’s upcoming “Homage” LP features covers of classic rock hits and was initially planned as an EP. Brian Wheat mentioned, “It just goes back to the people still wanna see us play live.”
“Homage,” is set to be released on July 17, 2026, and features covers of songs by iconic vocalists like Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury, and James Brown.
Tesla will embark on “The Return Of The Carnival Of Sins” tour with Motley Crue and Extreme starting on July 17, 2026, in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania.
