Sharon Osbourne settled a legal dispute with former Black Sabbath manager Jim Simpson over his plans to release an album of the band’s earliest recordings.
The demos in question feature Black Sabbath’s original lineup during the period when they performed as Earth, showcasing a more blues-driven direction.
Sharon confirmed that the band, not Simpson, now owns the Earth recordings, including the rights to the pictures taken at that time.
Simpson eventually worked out a deal with Black Sabbath members to transfer ownership of the recordings.
“Earth: The Legendary Lost Tapes” includes three blues covers, two versions of “Song For Jim,” and other tracks, showcasing the early talent of the band members.
