Suzi Quatro released a music video for her duet with Alice Cooper on a cover of MC5’s “Kick Out The Jams”.
Quatro and Cooper, both Detroit natives, reinterpreted the MC5 classic to preserve the original spirit while adapting it to a modern production context.
Alice Cooper agreed to the project within minutes and recorded the song face-to-face with Quatro in Detroit, with Cooper’s producer planning out their performance.
Quatro, a veteran artist with hits like “Can The Can” and “Devil Gate Drive,” has sold over 55 million records since her career began in 1973 and also acted in TV shows like Happy Days.
“Freedom,” Quatro’s latest album, is her third collaboration with her son and reflects her personal growth at 75. She will tour the UK starting on Apr. 7 to support the release.
