The Beach Boys are releasing new audiophile pressings of their ‘Pet Sounds’ album to celebrate its 60th anniversary.
The releases include a Vinylphyle Edition with the original album in mono and stereo, a Definitive Sound Series Audiophile Edition, and a Zoetrope vinyl edition.
The new audiophile pressings present ‘Pet Sounds’ in the highest quality yet, with the stereo mix overseen by Brian Wilson and produced by Mark Linett in 1996.
The releases also include ‘The Pet Sounds Sessions Highlights’ and a three-track digital EP exploring ‘Sloop John B’.
Fans can also attend the Beach Boys 5K & Wellness Day in Santa Monica on May 16 and look forward to the release of the lost experimental album ‘Adult/Child’ and a London show to celebrate 60 years of ‘Pet Sounds’.
