A trailer has dropped for the concert film “Power to the People,” showcasing John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s only full-length concerts together after leaving The Beatles in 1972.
The film features restored footage and remastered audio from the concerts held at Madison Square Garden in New York City on August 30, 1972.
John Lennon and Yoko Ono were backed by Elephant’s Memory and Plastic Ono Band drummer Jim Keltner during the performances.
Special guests like Stevie Wonder, Melanie, and members of Sha Na Na joined John and Yoko for a finale performance of “Give Peace A Chance” at the second show.
The trailer for the film includes clips of songs performed at the concerts, such as The Beatles’ “Come Together” and John Lennon’s “Imagine,” “Instant Karma!,” and “Mother.”
