Flea performed his cover of Frank Ocean’s “Thinkin Bout You” on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon alongside a live band and orchestra.
The cover is part of Flea’s debut solo album, Honora.
Flea discussed his love for jazz and how it influenced his decision to create the album, sharing his childhood love for the trumpet and his aspiration to be like Dizzy Gillespie.
Flea explained that playing the trumpet daily led him to create the album as a learning process rather than a means to an end.
