Slash is executive producing the feature documentary “Black Zombie,” which will premiere at South by Southwest and aims to uncover the origins of the zombie as a symbol of survival and spiritual resistance.
“Black Zombie” traces the evolution of the zombie character from Haitian Vodou to iconic horror films like “White Zombie” and “Night of the Living Dead,” featuring appearances by Slash, Yves-Grégory Francois, and special effects legend Tom Savini.
Slash is also executive producing the vampire feature “Sundown,” directed by Rebekah McKendry, which follows three generations of women seeking revenge in a remote cabin, only to discover a dark secret.
