Pop Evil is releasing a new edition of their album ‘What Remains’ called ‘What Remains (Midnight Edition)’ on March 27, with new material that enhances the emotional and sonic depth of the original.
The lead single from the new edition, “The Decay,” is described by the band as raw, uncomfortable, and honest, encouraging listeners to confront darkness, take responsibility, and make a difference.
The visualizer for “The Decay” was directed by Sam Shapiro and produced without the use of AI, aligning with the song’s message that our creative choices matter.
The ‘What Remains (Midnight Edition)’ includes “The Decay” and a modern-rock reinterpretation of the ’80s anthem “Don’t You (Forget About Me),” reflecting Pop Evil’s unique style.
The original ‘What Remains’ album was the band’s most emotionally exposed and direct work, with frontman Leigh Kakaty sharing personal truths and battles, and the Midnight Edition completes that narrative arc.
