Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith opened in 1999 as an unprecedented high-speed launch roller coaster with multiple inversions.
The ride was the most intense thrill ride at Walt Disney World and outlasted similar rides at other Disney parks.
The attraction will be rethemed to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets, with the track and ride vehicles remaining the same.
The reimagining of the ride into Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets is expected to take several months, with a potential opening in the second half of Summer 2026.
