Lamb of God just shared the new single “Blunt Force Blues” from their upcoming album Into Oblivion.
Lead singer Randy Blythe says the band drew inspiration for the track from their early days in the local scene in Richmond, VA.
Guitarist Mark Morton emphasized the creative freedom of the new record: “It feels nice to be untethered from any agenda beyond rallying around the notion of, ‘Let’s just make music that we think is cool,’ which is really where it all started.”
Into Oblivion is scheduled for release on March 13 via Century Media Records, with Lamb of God set to headline the 25th anniversary edition of Bloodstock this Summer alongside other notable bands like Judas Priest and Body Count.
