Foo Fighters are stirring up serious buzz after sharing short snippets of upcoming music that hint at a heavier, faster, and more aggressive direction. The band recently posted a 19-second video on social media captioned “This is just a test,” featuring hardcore punk rhythms and the unmistakable scream of frontman Dave Grohl. Fans quickly dissected the clip, speculating it may tease as many as a dozen new tracks.
The material marks the band’s first new music since 2023’s But Here We Are, an emotional tribute to late drummer Taylor Hawkins. They’ve also dropped the single “Asking For A Friend” and a live album from intimate club shows.
Currently on their “Take Cover” tour, the band continues forward, though guitarist Pat Smear is sidelined with a foot injury. If the teaser is any indication, Foo Fighters are about to crank the volume way up.
