Mötley Crüe are marking their 45th anniversary with a special treat for collectors and longtime fans: the return of their long-lost Live Wire EP. The radio-only promotional release, originally issued in the early ’80s and out of print for more than four decades, will be reissued on April 18 exclusively for Record Store Day.
This limited-edition pressing arrives on 12-inch color vinyl and features brand-new cover art, giving the classic release a fresh visual spin while preserving its raw, early Sunset Strip energy. The title track, Live Wire, was the band’s debut single in 1982 and later appeared on their breakout first album, Too Fast for Love.
Fans can visit recordstoreday.com to find participating independent record shops and grab a piece of Crüe history before it’s gone.
