San Francisco’s iconic venue Bottom of the Hill has announced that its final “revolution” of the year will be documented on film. The project will be led by the filmmakers behind the award-winning 2021 documentary VINYL NATION, with San Francisco–based filmmaker Kevin Smokler and Albuquerque-based Christopher Boone directing the effort.
Filming will take place throughout the year at Bottom of the Hill and beyond, with plans to turn the venue’s story into a feature-length documentary. The film aims to capture the spirit, community, and cultural impact of the beloved club across its remarkable 35-year history.
Fans, musicians, staff, and longtime supporters are encouraged to share their memories and stories by emailing bottomofthehilldoc@gmail.com.
