Kiss co-founder Gene Simmons was hospitalized Tuesday after his SUV collided with a parked car in Malibu. The 76-year-old rocker reportedly lost consciousness while driving on Pacific Coast Highway, causing his Lincoln Navigator to veer across several lanes before impact.
He was taken to a nearby hospital and later discharged, now recovering at home.
Simmons’ wife, Shannon Tweed, mentioned recent medication changes and dehydration as possible factors. Simmons himself downplayed the incident, calling it a “slight fender bender” and joking about being a bad driver.
The band is still on track for their upcoming Las Vegas reunion event this November.
