The Las Vegas Sphere — with its groundbreaking 16K resolution wraparound LED screen — has already played host to legends like U2 and the Eagles. Now, Queen may be next.
Brian May recently shared his excitement about the venue, saying: “The stuff that we could bring to this would be stupendous.” He confirmed that conversations have taken place about a possible Queen residency at the Sphere, which would celebrate the band’s legacy and honor the late Freddie Mercury.
Rumors have swirled about an ABBA Voyage-style AI Freddie, though May and drummer Roger Taylor have not confirmed any plans to use holograms or AI technology. Still, Taylor has hinted at more live Queen moments ahead, stating: “I don’t think we’re done.”
Meanwhile, Queen has been back in the studio with Adam Lambert, working on new material. While no new single or album has been announced, fans can look forward to the band’s next live event after their celebrated performance at Last Night of the Proms.
A Queen show at the Sphere would be a monumental tribute to Mercury — blending state-of-the-art visuals with some of rock’s most timeless anthems.
