Actor Sean Penn shared a surprising story during his recent appearance on The Tonight Show — he used to spar with none other than Bob Dylan.
Penn recalled the unusual mornings: “That went on for about a month, I think. About seven or eight o’clock in the morning, with his hoodie on and about six bull mastiffs coming out of a VW van. There wasn’t a lot of conversation, it was kind of like, ‘Good? Good.’ And we’d spar.”
In addition to the Dylan revelation, Penn also mentioned that he was one of the first to hear Bruce Springsteen’s classic album Nebraska. At the time, he was briefly engaged to Springsteen’s sister, Pam, which gave him a unique early listen to the now-iconic record.
From boxing Bob Dylan to getting a first listen at Nebraska, Sean Penn’s life stories continue to be just as unpredictable as his film career.
