Sammy Hagar says he’s ready to bury the hatchet with David Lee Roth — and even be friends. The Red Rocker revealed that a recent dream about Eddie Van Halen inspired a new song, which prompted Roth to praise Hagar’s voice and catalog during a concert. Hagar took the kind words as a positive sign and admitted he’d like to build a friendship with his fellow former Van Halen frontman.
While acknowledging their differences, Hagar emphasized the shared history they both have with Eddie and the band. He even applauded Roth’s performances, especially his use of background singers to keep Van Halen’s signature choruses strong for fans. “I’m all cool with Dave,” Hagar said, making it clear he holds no grudges and respects Roth’s dedication to the music.
