A new trailer has dropped for Into The Void: Life, Death & Heavy Metal, an upcoming docuseries aiming to redefine how people see the heavy metal genre. Executive producers Jason Eisener and Evan Husney say the series was created to push back against the clichés often tied to metal. “Metal is often reduced to clichés, but we wanted to challenge that narrow view and show its true breadth,” they explained in a statement.
The show promises to highlight the multifaceted nature of the genre—musically, stylistically, and culturally—spotlighting a diverse range of artists from across the metal spectrum. Husney added, “The genre is incredibly multifaceted… and we set out to reflect that diversity in the bands we chose to highlight.” The docuseries aims to show metal in all its raw, powerful forms.
