Metallica marked the launch of SiriusXM’s new “Maximum Metallica” channel with a rare, intimate concert at the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, New York. Only 500 lucky fans were in attendance, alongside celebrity guests like Paul McCartney, Andy Cohen, and Sylvester Stallone. The set included a blistering performance of their classic “Master of Puppets,” with pro-shot footage of the song now available to stream on YouTube.
Drummer Lars Ulrich thanked SiriusXM for the opportunity, saying, “We are so grateful to SiriusXM for inviting us to celebrate the launch of their new channel, Maximum Metallica.” Frontman James Hetfield added, “We had a blast performing at the Stephen Talkhouse to celebrate the launch.” The night proved Metallica can still deliver arena-level energy in a club-sized room.
