The National Guitar Museum has announced Rush’s Alex Lifeson as the recipient of its 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award for 2024.
Executive director HP Newquist said Lifeson “inspired countless guitarists to push the boundaries of what the guitar can do. And I am one of them”
Lifeson said he was “honored”, adding “I fell in love with the guitar when I was eleven years old and continue my romantic affair to this day, sixty years later.”
Previous winners of the NGM Lifetime Achievement Award include B.B. King, Bonnie Raitt, Jeff Beck, Tony Iommi, and Eddie Van Halen.
